Candle care guide

Candle Care Tips

  • Wait to burn

Let your candle cure for 2 weeks after pouring before the first burn.

  • First burn matters

Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges on your first burn to prevent tunneling.

  • Trim the wick

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn to prevent smoking, soot, and mushrooming.

  • Frosting is normal

White crystalline frosting is natural for soy wax and doesn't affect performance.

  • Sweating happens

Soy candles may "sweat" in warm weather — simply wipe with a tissue.

  • Rough tops are OK

Pitted or rough tops after burning are completely normal for natural soy wax.

  • Color embed bleeding

If you added color, some bleeding into the wax is normal as the candle burns and does not affect scent throw.

  • Burn safely

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, children, and pets. Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains.
